Does your organization have notices of events that you need to get out to your membership?  Consider using the StoryBoard 'Calendar' feature --- it's easy! --- simply follow these brief steps:

1) In the 'Preview Page' Mode, click on the 'Advanced' Mode button and then click on the 'Global' link in the upper right of your 'Preview Page'.

2) Look in the orange section for the entry:
' 3-- Do you want to turn on the Calendar Function?'
Select the 'Yes' bullet and then click on the 'Insert Global Data' near the bottom of the blue section.

3) You can return to this page at any time and change your 'Global' options.  For example, you can switch the Calendar display format style from a calendar like display to a text listing display, or even turn the Calendar function off.

You now have the powerful Calendar function in your Web Site.  The live view of your web site will now have a 'Calendar' entry in the left Menu area and the 'Preview Page' mode will have a 'Calendar Admin' link in the left Menu area.  Clicking on the 'Calendar Admin' link will allow you to enter events for any day.

Here are a few important notes regarding the use of your 'Calendar' function:

1) When you enter events into your Calendar, you have the choice of selecting whether or not your entered event appears also in the NFN Main Calendar.  The default setting is NO.  Please make sure that any event you select to appear also in the NFN Main Calendar is a RELEVANT event, ie, of interest to the NFN general viewing public.  Organization events that are of little interest to those outside your organization should not be placed in the NFN Main Calendar by selecting the YES option at the bottom of the event add/edit page.

2) A big advantage of the StoryBoard and its features is that you can share the site updating chores.  Try assigning to a person in your organization the task of keeping your Calendar current.  By simply giving them the StoryBoard login ID and password, that person can add, remove, or edit events, thereby taking a little of the burden of site maintenance off your shoulders.
