Peace & Greetings to all,

     I hope that you are all enjoying these "lazy" days of summer and some good family time before everyone is called back to school and the island swells to capacity once more.

My name is Kim Adamson and I have accepted the position of Director of Religious Education / Faith Formation here at San Marco Catholic Church.  Mr. Dave Swierczek, who has been faithfully serving in this capacity, is moving into retirement.  He will continue conducting the RCIA classes for at least the next year.

My husband and I moved to Marco in 1984. I was a catechist and volunteer in youth ministry for 5 years here at San Marco in the 1990s until I became involved at St. John Neumann High School, first with the senior retreats then as a teacher of religion, campus minister and retreat director over a 6 year period.  I graduated from the Blessed Edmund Rice School for Pastoral Ministry in 2000 with a M.A. in Pastoral Theology from Barry University.  You have also seen me serve as a Lector, Eucharistic Minister & Cantor.

The program will be undergoing changes this year due to new diocesan requirements as well as our desire to support our parents in the faith formation of their children.  It will be a family based program in which everyone will come together at the same time, parents included.  An information and registration meeting for parents will be held on:

Monday, August 30^th at 6:30 pm in the Parish Center

Our regular faith formation sessions will begin September 13^th (times will be discussed at the above meeting.)
