c.       We will continue to use a second cross for the disabled, who are unable to come forward.  However, this will take place toward the end of the veneration so that we keep the symbol of coming to the one cross of Christ.

Presider

(1)    choir, ministers and congregation gather outside around the fire

(2)    at first proclamation “Christ our Light” inside the door, choir and minister candles are lit—not one by one but from each other.  The choir proceeds down the west/right aisle (organ side) and the ministers down the east/left aisle (Gospel side).  They keep pace with the Paschal candle in the center aisle, lighting the congregation’s candles as they proceed down their respective aisles.

(3)    As the Paschal Candle continues down the center aisle, altar servers following the Paschal Candle light the congregation’s candles.  Be sure to send a server and/or usher into the chapel.

(4)    When the Paschal Candle is in place, the Exultet is sung by the Light of the Risen Lord—by this time all the congregation candles should be lit.

g.        Jim Simmons will again sing the Exultet.

h.        Question re when lights come on.  Many consider darkness a safety issue.  Ruth was at a conference, which stated that lights come on after Excultet and at the Gloria the Altar candles are lit.  More research needed.

i.         Script for all three days—enlarge directions and cues.  Hilda will prepare Holy Thursday and Good Friday.  Dave will prepare Easter Vigil script.

j.        Remote for Church chimes not working.  However, they can be operated manually.  Need to determine who will perform this task.

k.      Be sure we are using correct cycle of readings.

5.  Easter – tabled until next meeting.

6. Charter School – since many people were arriving late, the decision was made to add an additional 15 minutes to the start of Mass to give people more time to drive over from Church.  Masses will now be at 9:30 a.m. and 11:15 a.m.

7.  Rehearsals for the Triduum:  Palm Sunday at 4 p.m.  We will need to be finished before the 6 p.m. Mass.

Next Meeting:  Thursday, March 11, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. in parish office conference room

Thank you,

Hilda
